SLAC Study Playlists

These playlists have been carefully compiled by SLAC and are guaranteed to: (1) boost your productivity; (2) help you remember your coursework; and (3) study more efficiently; and (4) get fired up on test day.  The playlists are divided into the following categories: 

Classical Study Playlist

Whether you have a week until exam day, or just a day, these carefully selected classical pieces, will give you a quick lesson in some of the most influential music in world history, lift your spirit and get your head where it needs to be to get to business.  The right music will not only raise your IQ but also help you SLAC better.  Use the SLAC playlists below to open up your brain muscle and boost your study productivity.  For optimal results listen to playlist with headphones at medium volume while studying.

 

Classical Pump Up Playlist

The call of the champions as captured in the timelessness of orchestral arrangement.  These are the soundtracks to your life, the leitmotifs to your academic career.  For those times when sitting at your desk, you close your eyes and dream big.  For those times when the summit is within arm's reach.  For those times when there's nothing left to learn, but a whole lot left to teach the world.  For optimal results, listen for ten minutes prior to study session, or directly following exam pump up speech.

Exam Day Pump Up Speeches

Exam day.  Studying is complete, your pencils have been sharpened, your glasses have been cleaned.  All that's left to do is to go out there and take it.  This is your time.  Find a favorite speech or get fired up to the whole playlist - then get out there and dominate.  For optimal results listen 30 minutes before exam.

The Classics - 1-2 hour piano playlists (below)

Study More Efficiently:  the right length study session will also help you maximize productivity.  Optimal focus periods are one hour and two hours, with ten to twenty-minute breaks in between.  The playlists below are designed to be used as one or two-hour timers to help you march through the process.  Load a playlist, pop on your headphones, and get to business. When the playlist ends, take a short break, then load the next playlist and get back to it.
